A new day, a new perspective, a blank page. Let’s make it count.
Happy New Year, folks!
I’m excited to do another year with you! This is my first post of the year on the first day of the new year.
It’s the norm to always get a post to kickstart the year and give us a theme.
This year’s theme is focus
Why? I realized that every time I lost my focus I stumbled through life and it gave room for everything to cause me great anxiety that led me through dark places. For this year and beyond, I refuse to be a victim of a focus-less life.
And I don’t know if you remember that there’s a story in the Bible where Peter walked on water like Jesus because he was fixated on Jesus. He only began to drown when he took his eyes off of Him for a second and he became fixated on the storm that raged. Mind you, the storm was raging when he walked on water but he didn’t notice it until he looked. This year, I want to do my best at all times to be fixated on God. I’ve realized that troubles will always come. We will always encounter trials. The weapons will form. The promise isn’t their nonexistence. The promise is that despite it all, we’ll thrive and have victory. Join me on this journey, beloved. I plan to reacquaint myself with my God this year. I made it this year because I have a story to tell. My life has a purpose and I plan to live it out joyfully. I don’t know if you read my curtain call for 2022. It was a very dark and negative post but while on my way to my church’s crossover service, my mom reminded me of a statement we made on our way to the 2021 crossover service into 2022. We declared that by 31/12/2022, we would move from our apartment in Tema township to church and that’s exactly what happened last night. That realization caused her to also make another declaration that I hope to share the manifestation with you a year from today.
Many are the good things that happened to us last year but we didn’t focus on them so a lot of us saw 2022 as a terrible year. The year is dead and gone. It’s behind us but 2023 is here. We have the power to make it how we want it. That starts with a focus on God. This year, I plan to keep my eyes on God and my dreams. I’ve learned that penning down goals and setting timelines is a great way to be productive with our time. Sometimes the year ends and we don’t know how it came to be and we can’t pinpoint what exactly we did but let’s be intentional about this year and beyond. Intentionality breeds success.
My dear readers, I hope to have you as my accountability partner from here on out. Call my attention when I begin to lose focus.
Cheers to many great things happening to us and for us!
Congratulations to us all for our major and minor wins to come!
Happy New Year again!
Love you ❤️
