Happy New Year!!!!
Welcome Y’all to 2019.
It’s better late than never.
Now that we’ve gotten all the niceties out of the way, let’s get to it. So here we are at the beginning of a new year with the same touting of a very old saying, “New year, new me.” I mean, how does a second change automatically change whoever you’ve been for 365 days? And then that really tiresome threat of cutting off people on new year’s eve. Come on guys, it’s old and all tapped out. Let’s address the cutting of the threat. It is necessary to remove yourself from toxic relationships but must it be every year? I don’t think so but if it’s an every year issue, why don’t you look at the man or woman in the mirror because it seems you could be the problem too. This is where the “new year, new me” comes in because each year we are handed a brand new book to write our life’s story and how it turns out at the end of the 365th page depends entirely on what we invest our time and emotions in.
In case you’re delusional, the clock striking 12midnight will under no circumstance change who you were at 11:59 pm.
It is up to you to decide who you want to be at the end of the year and how you plan to be that person. I have come to learn that noting goals down on paper and outlining activities that will help you accomplish them makes you actually work at it.
Here’s a piece of unsolicited advice;
Sit down and critically think about your new my dreams and take the necessary actions.
Put those actions on your calendar.
Create a notification system.
Get an accountability partner.
I have scheduled every activity I think will help me be a better me by 31st Dec 2019 into my phone’s calendar with all the notifications turned on and so far it’s been a blast.
So if you plan to read, write, work out or spend more time with your loved ones then set out time for those activities and make sure you absolutely follow it.
This is my #TakeAction year. See you at the end as better versions of ourselves.
Have a great year achieving your dreams. We aim for progress and not perfection. Don’t worry if it’s not going perfectly as long as you keep at it, you’ll get there.

Wow. Thanks for sharing this Baawa.
