Diary Of A Sheltered Teen #10

Dear Diary,

If Jared isn’t anything then he is relentless. I have never met a guy who actively pursues me like this. I’m enjoying all of this. I mean this is officially our third meeting so we have exchanged numbers. Oh before you even think of giving me a lecture, he’s not my roommate. When he made that absurd declaration, I declined and picked Elaine who didn’t want to but also, didn’t have a choice in the matter. Jared then paired up with Ray.

So, after we got settled in our rooms, Elaine dragged me outside as compensation for messing up her baecation. The group had split up into smaller groups and were indulging in various games as a way of bonding with one another. Elaine wanted to be in Ray’s group and Ray’s group had Jared. Knowing I owe her one for ruining her plans, I joined the group and guess what they were playing. Truth or Dare! What are we? 12? Anywho, the game went on for a while before it landed on Jared and I knew then that I was screwed.

The person asked him, “Truth or Dare”

He looked me straight in the eye, “Truth”

“Do you have a girlfriend or someone you’re gunning for?”

“I don’t have a girlfriend yet” he smirked, “And for the record, I am very interested in Sabrina and I hope to make her my girlfriend soon so all you other guys better back off!”

After that declaration, the whole place was chaotic for a while before the order was brought back into the game. I had never been so thankful for my dark-skin because man, I was definitely blushing.

Well, not so long after that debacle, it was his turn again and I knew he was up to no good but I trusted Elaine. She was the person asking him.

“Truth or Dare,” she asked

“Dare”

“I dare you to kiss Sabrina”

I wanted to kill her but I froze because next thing I knew, I was being kissed in a way I had never been before. It was as if it was just the two of us in the world.

“Well, I guess I get to have my girl as my roommate after all” Ray said and the spell was broken

“Shoot,” I said and ran away. I’m currently hiding out in my room. I’m starving though.

Wait a minute. I asked Elaine to get me something to eat . There’s someone knocking. Food is here! Got to go.

Toodles!
