Change

Are you a big fan of change? I think I am but sometimes I think otherwise. I’ve come to learn that our life experiences and lessons shape and mould us to be who we are. What we’ve been through has made us who we currently are and that being said no one stays the same after a really long time has passed unless the person lives in a bubble and therefore is cut off from social interactions. Even so, men and women lost at sea that wind up on islands alone even change. They evolve into different people from before they got lost. Well, this elaborate speech is because I have realised that I have changed. I’m not the same person who started this year so imagine if you know me from years ago, you’d only recognise the face but not the person. Am I making sense? Let me let you in on a secret. Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone. I cry now during theemotion ridden scenes in movies. I never used to that. I even used to tease my mom but I can’t even get through an emotional scene without bawling my eyes out. I’m pretty sure if I analysed it I’d find out which particular experience caused the change. I bet I’m not the only one who turns to self-examination from time to time. Change is necessary aspect of growth. You cannot grow without changing something. When you were born, in order to move from one milestone to the other, something had to change about you. Your body couldn’t function with only breast milk and so different kinds of foods were introduced in your diet to help you grow into a toddler and then changes took place again till you got here. Change is inevitable. We need to embrace it more because it’s necessary for growth. I’m sure we know this already and I won’t even delude myself by thinking I’m saying something new but lets just say that’s what I’m thinking of at this time.
